Down and Out is a modern fable expressed in the horror genre language. It features the main character Joe, your average office worker. Whilst wondering the streets of London, Joe carelessly observes an epidemic of homelessness, without feeling engaged or involved at all. It is clearly of no concern to him. When Joe passes a homeless man in need of help, he rudely and arrogantly dismisses the man in need of aid. Carrying on his day like any other working class man, Joe is soon to find out that his selfish actions have consequences. Selfishness does not go unpunished.

"Extremely Gripping." - The Guardian

"A fantastic debut short film." - The Telegraph

Charles Gordon is an actor from Wimbledon, Surrey. He has featured in many other short films as well as theatre productions therefore making this the perfect opportunity to excel yet again. With many years of experience, Charles takes on the main character role of Joe.

Max Ragan is an actor, born in Kingston and living in Esher. With less experience in the acting industry, Max features in Down and Out as the homeless teen/man. This feature will be an important appearance in his career as he gains more experience in acting as he works up the ladder, hoping to one day play a big role in multiple films.

Rejjie owns his own store in Wimbledon and features in Down and Out very briefly as the shopkeeper/corner shop owner. He is not pursuing acting as his dream job yet was asked to feature in the short film to add a sense of realism, making the film very realistic.
